Zumikon, September 1, 2017 (Ambition AG) – Unfortunately, the health risks of diesel exhaust emissions remain a hot topic. Pediatrician Gerald Hofer shares his findings in an interview with the Huffington Post. He warns urgently about the dramatic effects traffic emissions can have on the bodies of adolescents. And it must be emphasized again and again that both Fuel-Fuchs® as well as the BE-Fuelsaver® Reduce NOx and particulate matter emissions from diesel vehicles by up to 96%, while simultaneously reducing fuel consumption, sometimes significantly.
Nitrogen oxides and particulate matter from diesel exhaust are harmful to health!
The soot from a diesel vehicle contains particularly small particles, the doctor explains in an interview. "Similar to asbestos, it is deposited in the lungs. Similar to asbestos, there is an increased risk of cancer." And children suffer the most. Children have many more years of life ahead of them than, say, a 40-year-old – and "the longer a person is exposed to this air pollution, the higher the risks." The pediatric pulmonologist and cardiologist Hofer further explains: "Moreover, the lungs are not yet fully developed in the first years of life. Air pollutants can have an adverse effect on lung development." Hofer is very certain, saying: "If a valid, long-term study were conducted, it would be very likely that children who live near very busy roads have a lower life expectancy than others."
Essentially, none of this is new. Studies have repeatedly shown for years that particulate matter, in particular, poses a huge risk to our health. Time and again, particulate matter pollution in the air plays a major role in the connection between respiratory diseases and metabolic disorders! The Sprit-Fuchs® and the BE-Fuelsaver® are a simple solution to the problem of diesel exhaust: they significantly reduce particulate matter and particles during combustion. As a result, the secondary effect is also much smaller.
