The harmonei® garden water filter is energized and provides you with the optimal water for your plants in the garden, in pots, or in the greenhouse. It's also suitable for ornamental fountains, as the filter prevents germs and algae growth. Irrigation water is generally not pure. Tap water, well water, or rainwater often contains dissolved salts and contaminants in varying concentrations. In addition, municipal waterworks often add chlorine or ozone to disinfect drinking water.
The ion exchanger softens the water, primarily removing magnesium and limescale. Softer water is especially suitable for watering flowers. Limescale-containing water is harmful to plants, as hard, calcareous water causes the soil to become increasingly alkaline. Deposits form on the edges of pots, on the substrate, and even on the plants themselves. The roots are particularly sensitive to limescale. They can no longer fulfill their functions, and the plant stunts.

Most plants thrive in neutral to slightly acidic soil. The pH of acidic substrates can be increased by adding lime. However, once alkaline, the process is difficult to reverse. Some plants will not thrive in acidic soil at all. It is therefore important to know the approximate pH—the acidity—of a substrate. The pH value is defined on a scale ranging from 0 to 14. A pH of 7 indicates neutral soil, 7 to 14 alkaline soil, and 0 to 7 acidic soil. The pH value can be determined either with a meter or with a simple soil test.
So-called lime-avoiding plants don't tolerate alkaline or lime-rich soil. Otherwise, they are unable to absorb sufficient amounts of vital trace elements. Their leaves begin to show symptoms of iron deficiency and turn yellow. A high lime content in the substrate is also unfavorable because the lime binds the phosphorus necessary for flower formation.
Lime-sensitive plants
All bog plants such as rhododendrons, azaleas, laurel roses, blueberries, heathers, pieris, bellflowers, and others. Plants from forests and mountains such as lilies, ferns, hostas, Himalayan poppies, autumn gentian, trefoil, daisy, lady's slipper, iris, and others.
Marsh and aquatic plants such as marsh calla lily, sundew, etc. Potted and container plants such as camellias, hydrangeas, bromeliads, gardenias, bonsai plants, citrus fruits, cacti, orchids, etc., seed boxes and propagations.

The harmonei® garden water filter can be easily integrated into the existing pipe and hose system. It is pre-assembled. Simply screw the connectors onto the inlet and outlet of the device and the water connection. All parts required for installing your harmonei® water filter are included. The green cartridge has a significantly higher flow rate than a drinking water cartridge. Its design and thus its filtration properties are tailored to the water needs of plants.
Product informationThe cartridge for the harmonei ® garden model is a consumable and must be replaced regularly. This depends on the level of water contamination. Change the cartridge:
After at least six months or 20 hours of operation or after at least 8,000 liters.
