Zumikon, February 11, 2019 (Ambition AG) – Humans are exposed to electrical and magnetic fields at work and at home. They arise, for example, from the generation and transmission of electricity, from household appliances, industrial plants, telecommunications, and broadcasting. Due to the growing human-caused demand for electricity and constantly evolving technologies, more and more artificial sources of such electromagnetic fields have been created. The body has a sophisticated mechanism for adapting to the many influences to which humans are exposed in their environment. Of course, this does not mean that it has a compensatory mechanism for all biological effects. Changes that place a long-term strain on the system or are incurable can pose a health risk.
Electromagnetic radiation (EMR) linked to health problems
It is undisputed that electromagnetic fields above certain strengths can trigger biological effects. Numerous sources of electromagnetic fields have become the focus of health concerns. These include power lines, transmission towers, transformers, mobile and Wi-Fi networks, computer and TV screens, and microwave ovens, to name just a few. Invisible force fields that surround every electrically powered device generate electric and magnetic fields. As a result, thanks to these electrical helpers, we live in a dense fog of electromagnetic waves, also known as electromagnetic radiation (EMR). Today, this radiation is approximately 100 to 200 million times more intense than it was 100 years ago.
Numerous scientific studies Studies have now shown the link between electromagnetic radiation (EMR) and many health problems, including insomnia, fatigue, headaches, heart problems, Alzheimer's disease , learning disabilities, and some types of cancer. Dr. Robert Becker, a physician, researcher, and expert on electromagnetic radiation, has expressed extreme concern about electrosmog: "I have no doubt that the most significant global environmental pollution factor at the moment is the spread of electromagnetic fields. I consider this far more concerning than global warming [...] and the proliferation of chemicals in the environment." Dr. Becker is the author of the book "Cross Currents: The Perils of Electropollution" and has been nominated for the Nobel Prize twice.
